Job summary

Sancorp Consulting LLC seeks an Action Officer – Defense Information Security to support the U.S. Coast Guard's security policy program in the National Capital Region. This policy and compliance role emphasizes CNSI/CUI/SBU handling, not IT operations.

The role requires a security-related bachelor's degree (or 10 years substitute) and 5+ years in information security policy at a military service HQ. On-site duties in Arlington, VA with occasional travel and security clearance expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in security-related discipline and at least five years qualifying experience; ten years may substitute.
• Experience in safeguarding, handling, and marking CNSI, CUI, and SBU; EO 13526 and related directives.
• Ability to develop complex technical and security materials for various audiences and format per USCG guidance.
• Ability to coordinate with subject matter experts and build organizational consensus.
• Proficiency with MS Office and government databases (e.g., CGBI).

Responsibilities

• Support USCG CG-SPM security program activities across disciplines.
• Analyze policy guidance and advise on improvements to USCG security programs.
• Prepare written correspondence and memoranda following USCG formats.
• Assist in training and awareness products using MS Office, SharePoint and Acrobat.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
