Werner Enterprises is seeking an Information Security Intern at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, NE. The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced security environment and collaboration with IT and software development teams to embed security across systems.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline.
• Interest in information security and willingness to learn.

Responsabilidades

• Start the day with the team, discussing priorities and any new threats.
• Assist with processing user access requests, performing periodic access reviews, and tracking compliance metrics across business systems.
• Work with IT and software development teams to embed security throughout systems and processes.
• Explore new security technologies, attend webinars, and pursue growth with company resources.
• Audit user entitlements, manage onboarding/off-boarding, and enforce least privilege.
• Assist with internal security audits, risk assessments, and evidence collection for compliance frameworks.
• Support maintenance of security policies, standards, and control frameworks to ensure operational compliance.
• Assist with vendor risk assessments and evaluate third-party security postures against standards.

Formação académica

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline
