Werner Enterprises invites motivated students to join a summer internship program based at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. The 11-week immersion includes paid training and real-world work across HR and administrative functions.

Responsibilities include supporting leaves/unemployment administration, candidate screening, interview coordination, documentation, and contract management. Housing assistance may be available and some remote/off-site opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Experience with Google Workspace preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with leaves and unemployment administration and responses.
• Assist with Recruitment processes and scheduling.
• Assist with process documentation and administrative tasks in Workday.
• Maintain and open jobs on careers site and job boards.
• Screen resumes to identify qualified candidates and support recruiter phone screens.
• Coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers.
• Assist with pre-employment screening and NDA compliance.
• Review and manage legacy and current contract documents.
