Werner Enterprises in Omaha, NE is seeking a motivated Information Security Intern to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The role offers paid internship with dedicated training at our corporate headquarters in Omaha, with some remote/off-site opportunities possible and collaborative, inclusive culture.

You will support access reviews, security audits, and risk assessments while learning to integrate security across IT and software teams.

Formación

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with processing user access requests and reviewing access periodically.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to embed security across systems.
• Explore new security technologies and attend relevant webinars.
• Audit user entitlements and manage lifecycle events (onboarding/off-boarding).
• Support internal security audits, risk assessments, and evidence collection for compliance.
• Help maintain security policies, standards, and control frameworks for compliance.
• Assist with vendor risk assessments and evaluate third-party security postures.
