Job summary

The U.S. Department of State Headquarters is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of Technology Innovation and Engineering, Emerging Technologies Division, based in Arlington, VA.

You will lead emerging technology initiatives and conduct security reviews and cybersecurity assessments for IT and OT solutions proposed for Department use. In this Direct Hire Authority role, you will evaluate threats, develop security controls, and

Qualifications

• Citizenship in the United States is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility to access Sensitive Compartmented Information.
• Must pass E-Verify employment verification.
• Experience conducting cybersecurity assessments and identifying vulnerabilities.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity consulting and advisory services to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned Innovation and Emerging Technology initiatives within the ETD.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct research and assessment activities for IT and OT solutions proposed for Department use.
• Perform comprehensive security reviews to identify vulnerabilities and assess risk.
• Conduct cybersecurity assessments across hardware, software, cloud services, and integrated systems.
• Develop and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures for secure implementation of emerging technologies.
