Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Engineer to support the PEO PMW 550 program within the CIO Office. You will work with the ISM to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, perform security assessments, implement controls, and support the authorization process within eMASS.

The role involves risk analyses, A&A/ATO activities, continuous monitoring, and incident response. A DoD Secret clearance and 4+ years in cyber security are required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance currently held.
• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) with 4+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 4 years in cybersecurity or information assurance.
• IAT II certifications to meet DoD 8140 (e.g., Security+).
• Strong ability to research, learn, and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Support security authorization activities including A&A and ATO processes.
• Conduct weekly audits and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and Security Assessment Reports.
• Monitor and maintain security controls via continuous monitoring.
• Operate and manage security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Respond to security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to policies.
• Stay informed on emerging threats and best practices.
