Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; 1-3 years in information security.
• CISSP, CISA, CEH or other security certification desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to exploit recognized vulnerabilities.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of IT risk mitigation processes; ISO 27001/27002, NIST, DFARS familiarity.
• Knowledge of network and security controls; risk identification and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate vulnerabilities; ensure remediations are completed.
• Schedule and perform regular vulnerability scans in the corporate network.
• Review vulnerabilities to identify risks to computing assets.
• Provide technical vulnerability analysis and remediation options.
• Improve remediation and patch management processes to reduce risk.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to ensure remediation aligns with standards.
• Familiarity with Qualys and Nessus vulnerability scanners.
• Understand network and web application penetration testing.
• Report findings to non-technical audiences.
• Assist IT Operations as needed.
• Perform other similar duties.
