Job summary

Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve problems independently.
  • Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of AD, Exchange, Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Zoom.
  • Lead system upgrades, patching, and migrations to ensure secure environments.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to enforce policies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable collaboration solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and licensing for platforms.

Role: BackOffice Systems Manager(Technical)

Duration: Full-Time

Location: Nashville, TN(Hybrid- 2/3 Days Work from Office)

About role:

The BackOffice Systems Manager has the responsibility to oversee the administration, support, and optimization of key enterprise collaboration and communication platforms, including Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our back-office systems and user productivity tools. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and an initiative-taking approach to systems management and service delivery. This position will also troubleshoot problem areas to include diagnosing and resolving problems in a timely and accurate manner and provide end user training and assistance where required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations, configuration, and maintenance of Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Zoom platforms.
  • Lead system upgrades, patching, and migrations to ensure up-to-date and secure environments.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize system reliability and user experience.
  • Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to enforce policies, manage permissions, and support audits.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for supported platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior system / application administrators or support staff.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver scalable collaboration solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and licensing for associated platforms.

Skills Required:

  • AD, Exchange, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Zoom.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, email infrastructure, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong understanding of AD concepts such as domains, forests, trust relationships, and group policies.
  • Handson experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Effective communication.
  • Must be available for rotating after hours, including weekends and holidays, on-call schedule.
  • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
  • Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
  • Must always be alert; pay close attention to details.

Must have:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in a related role with experience in enterprise collaboration and communication platforms.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level environments for Active Directory (AD), Exchange, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Zoom.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, email infrastructure, and collaboration tools.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand and resolve technical problems independently.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Ability to manage a variety of tasks that are routine in nature, while keeping work flowing in an orderly manner.
  • Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Ability to express thoughts logically, in English, in both written and verbal form.
