We are seeking an End-User-focused, proactive, and technical IT Support Desk Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal employees needing technical assistance. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
End-User Support & Helpdesk Operations:
- Serve as the first line of support for user tickets, phone calls, and emails regarding technical issues.
- Triage, prioritize, log, and track tickets using our ITSM/ticketing system ([e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Zendesk]).
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues for both local and remote users.
- Escalate complex or recurring issues to Tier 2/3 engineering teams or the IT Manager when appropriate.
User Management & Provisioning:
- Onboard and offboard employees: set up hardware, configure accounts, assign permissions, and deploy software.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups in Active Directory / Entra ID (Azure AD) and Google Workspace / Microsoft 365.
Hardware & Software Maintenance:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals (Windows / macOS).
- Asset management: maintain inventory records for all hardware, software licenses, and IT equipment.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, VPN, local connectivity, DNS/DHCP issues).
- Create and maintain clear documentation for IT processes, knowledge base articles, and end-user self-help guides.
- Assist in enforcing company IT policies, cyber security guidelines, and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Experience & Technical Skills:
- Education/Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in a Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or IT Service Desk environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- OS Support: Strong proficiency in Windows 10/11 and/or macOS.
- Identity & Cloud Management: Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID / Azure
- Networking Fundamentals: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Routers/Switches, and Wi-Fi configuration.
- Hardware: Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile device hardware.
- Ticketing Systems: Experience working with IT ticketing platforms.
- Physical: Able to run data cables and telecommunication lines throughout office infrastructure, as well as move electronic equipment. Assistance is available for heavier equipment. Ability to lift up to 49 pounds.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, ITIL Foundation).
- Experience with MDM/RMM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf, NinjaOne, Datto).
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices (phishing awareness, endpoint security, MFA).
