NAVAIR is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (Network) at Cherry Point to support the COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIVISION, NETWORK MANAGEMENT BRANCH. The role focuses on coordinating IS projects, applying rigorous security policies, and managing project scope and tasks.

Responsibilities include coordinating requirements with command goals and ensuring secure, reliable network services under the federal GS pay framework.

Position Description

You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in the COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIVISION, NETWORK MANAGEMENT BRANCH of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as a technical expert to coordinate activities related to Information Systems projects.
• You will ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles and practices in the delivery of network services.
• You will serve as a project manager to define project scope and tasks.
• You will coordinate project requirements and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul inputs with Command business goals and objects.
