Job summary

Naval Air Systems Command (DON) East in Cherry Point, NC, seeks an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK) to coordinate Information Systems projects and manage network services with strong cybersecurity practices. The role applies DoD security standards and requires CCNA certification.

You will work in a GS‑13 position (GS 13) with full‑time status, travel as needed, and eligibility for telework per agency policy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Cisco SDN architectures and Cisco ISE for centralized network access and endpoint security.
• Experience configuring enterprise network infrastructure with VLANs/VRFs and deploying Wi‑Fi for broad coverage.
• Knowledge of software‑defined segmentation (Cisco TrustSec) to isolate networks and protect assets.
• Knowledge of OT networks/ICS in large maintenance facilities such as FRCE.
• Active CCNA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities related to Information Systems projects as a technical expert.
• Ensure rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies in network delivery.
• Define project scope and tasks as a project manager.
