NAVAIR in Patuxent River, MD is seeking an IT Specialist (APPSW) in the Digital Networks & Applications (DNA) Department to support automation initiatives. The role involves analyzing requirements, evaluating automation technologies, and leading project parameter definitions for proposed strategies.

You will design, integrate, validate and implement automation products, and manage progress against milestones, schedules and contractual plans, ensuring successful changes overs.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute substantively to the Automation requirements analysis process with systems analysts and customer reps to clarify requirements.
• Analyze emerging Automation technologies and COTS products to address operational requirements.
• Lead preparation and contribute to define project parameters and milestones in the PM Plan, POAM.
• Design, integrate, validate and implement Automation products and enhancements.
• Apply technical expertise to facilitate deployment of new or enhanced Automation products and manage changeovers.
• Manage projects by assessing progress against milestones, SOWs, and POAMs.

You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Digital Networks & Applications (DNA) Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will contribute substantively to the Automation requirements analysis process, conferring with systems analysts and customer representatives to clarify operational requirements and parameters.
• You will contribute analyses of emerging Automation technologies and COTS products that are viable candidates to address Automation operational requirements within realistic parameters.
• You will lead preparation contributes to define project parameters and justification of proposed scientific and management strategies, documented in the Project Management Plan, Plan of Actions and Milestones.
• You will perform the full range of efforts required to design, integrate, validate and implement innovative Automation products, upgrades or significant enhancements and refinements to new and existing Automation products.
• You will apply technical expertise to facilitate implementation of new or enhanced Automation products, including change-over from existing versions.
• You will manage assigned projects by conducting continuous technical assessments of progress against established project milestones, schedules, resource expenditure plans, contract Statements of Work, and Plans of Action and Milestones.
