The IT Branch is looking for candidates to apply for an Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) position within the IT Procurement Group (ITPG). The information below outlines details about the available position that candidates should consider before applying.

This position reports to the Information Technology Supervisor II, the ITS I performs the more complex and sensitive tasks, related to IT contracts and purchasing, that require regular innovative problem solving within broadly stated and non-defined guidelines. Responsibilities will include leading the efforts to develop, plan, organize, coordinate, and maintain the following tasks including, but not limited to developing procurement documents, including solicitations, work authorizations, and amendments, etc. The ITS I analyzes and evaluates the more complex IT solicitations and vendor responses, and acts as a Department liaison to internal and external customers.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

This position is headquartered at the New Labor Agency Building (NLAB), a newly remodeled high-rise building. Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
