Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Tallahassee, Florida (onsite) The candidate must reside in Tallahassee, or the surrounding area, and report in office 5 days a week.

Rate: W2 + CHP

Start Date: August 2025

Scope:

Serve as the Project Manager for assigned software application development projects and other IT projects across the enterprise.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other Information

Technology major, or equivalent work experience.

• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required

• 5+ years’ experience in IT project management, specifically managing medium-to-large-scale

software application development projects

• 5+ years’ experience in managing multiple projects concurrently

• 5+ years’ experience in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Microsoft

Project

• In-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing

activities related to planning, managing and implementing software projects and programs

• Documented and proven ability to formulate project plans for managing and monitoring progress

on software development projects; to think logically and to analyze and solve problems; compile,

organize and analyze data; to evaluate and monitor projects, plans and schedules and implement

corrective action plans

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, iterative,

• Familiarity with system integration, data migration, and cybersecurity best practices

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills

• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Familiarity with environmental regulatory business processes and practices

• Knowledge and understanding of DEP’s technical environment

• Understanding document management systems, metadata structures, and compliance
