Job description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic IT Project Manager to lead network and desktop upgrade, migration, and rollout projects. This individual will be responsible for engaging stakeholders, gathering technical and business requirements, building comprehensive project strategies, and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution. This is a hybrid position based in Queens County, NY.

IT Project Manager’s Responsibilities and Duties:

Lead stakeholder meetings to gather business and technical requirements for IT infrastructure projects
Develop and document detailed project strategies, timelines, and resource plans
Manage project lifecycles for network and desktop upgrade/migration initiatives
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure timely and successful project execution
Track project progress, address issues, and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives
Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders and leadership

IT Project Manager’s Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects (network and desktop migrations/upgrades preferred)
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to create and manage project documentation, schedules, and risk assessments
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet)
