Job summary

Summit Staffing Partners is partnering with a premier NYC-based nonprofit in education technology to recruit a Senior Technical Project Manager / Program Manager for a 100% remote, long-term consulting engagement. The role focuses on driving a multi-year digital transformation, coordinating Product, Engineering, UX/Design, and business teams to deliver on scope, time, and budget.

You will oversee timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships while translating requirements into actionable roadmaps

Qualifications

• Strong, hands on experience managing complex technical projects and/or programs.
• Experience working directly with software development, engineering, product management, and UX / design teams.
• Experience managing the development, implementation, and rollout of new software products, applications, websites, or other large-scale digital platforms.
• Strong experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams within an Agile environment; experience with hybrid Agile / Waterfall environments is a plus
• Demonstrated experience managing third-party technology vendors and external development partners
• Strong understanding of project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive accountability without direct authority
• Experience working on highly visible, user-facing digital or UX-focused initiatives is strongly preferred
• Experience within education technology, nonprofit, media, publishing, library systems, or other large public-facing digital environments is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Work closely with software development and product teams throughout the development and rollout of new applications, digital products, and user experiences
• Coordinate multiple internal teams and workstreams, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned on priorities, responsibilities, and deadlines
• Manage key third-party technology vendor relationships and hold external partners accountable for scope, timelines, quality, and contractual deliverables
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and UX / Design teams to help translate business and user requirements into actionable project plans and roadmaps
• Identify risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks before they impact project delivery
• Manage scope changes and help prevent scope creep across both internal and vendor-led initiatives
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, dashboards, status reports, documentation, and executive-level updates
• Lead cross-functional project and vendor meetings, ensuring clear agendas, decisions, ownership, and next steps

Our client, an AMAZING, premier NYC-based nonprofit organization in the education technology space, is seeking an outstanding Technical Project / Program Manager to help drive a high-profile, multi-year digital transformation initiative. This individual will work hand in hand with technical, product, UX / design, and business teams to ensure complex projects are delivered on time, on budget, and according to scope.
