Estimated Hourly rate: $70 - $75/hr.

Must haves:

8+ years’ of Project Management experience
Recent experience in AI/ML, Data or Cloud Native projects
Recent familiarity/experience with specific Azure/AI/ML and data governance services.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Program/Project Manager to lead a high-impact AI & Data Platform initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern Azure-based AI/ML architectures and the ability to manage complex program deliverables across cross-functional teams. This individual will work closely with an Architect and a Senior Data Engineer, overseeing project execution, client communications, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring clear and proactive communication.
Align project milestones with business goals, managing timelines, risks, and dependencies.
Facilitate intake processes, prioritization frameworks, and status reporting.

Technical Program Oversight

Oversee the assessment and implementation of key components in the Azure tech stack:
Azure OpenAI with Azure Functions / Container Apps
Azure AI Search with Vector Indexing
Azure ML with Prompt Flow for orchestration
App Gateway or APIM for usage control
Azure Key Vault and Microsoft Purview for secrets and data governance
Support and guide the work of the assigned Architect/Senior Data Engineer.
Ensure architectural assessments and prototypes meet technical and business expectations.
Develop a best-practices guide to manage intake, prioritize automation requests, and recommend business process improvements using Power Automate.
This will be developed in parallel with the deliverables below.

Security Prototype

Coordinate with the team to deliver a prototype that demonstrates how data security and governance will be handled, including the use of Key Vault and Purview.

Architectural Assessment & Documentation

Coordinate with the Architect to provide comprehensive architectural documentation for Azure OpenAI deployment strategies, scalability considerations, and orchestration using Prompt Flow.

Knowledge Base Creation

Compile a detailed knowledge repository capturing project activities, decisions, and technical learnings over the 2-month period.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in program/project management, preferably in AI, Data, or Cloud-native projects.
Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, especially AI/ML and data governance services.
Proven experience managing technical teams and client stakeholders in distributed environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certifications are a plus.

The estimated pay range for this position is USD $70.00/Hr - USD $75.00/Hr.
