Job summary

Motion Recruitment is looking for an experienced IT Procurement lead in Taylor, TX, with hybrid work (onsite at least 2 days/week). You will own end-to-end IT sourcing, RFPs, negotiations, and contract execution, coordinating with IT, Legal, Finance and Security to optimize costs and manage vendor risk.

We seek candidates with 5+ years in IT procurement and a track record handling $20M+ portfolios, plus strong expertise in SaaS, licensing, and ERP platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on IT procurement and RFP experience.
• Experience managing $20M+ IT procurement portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of IT contracts including SaaS, cloud, licensing, MSPs and services.
• Familiarity with ERP and contract-management platforms; advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CPSM/CTPE/NERC CIP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RFP/RFQ processes for IT purchases from requirements through negotiations and contract execution.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, Security and business teams to develop sourcing strategies and manage vendor risk.
• Oversee IT vendor and contract activity, support cost optimization, and prepare leadership reports.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on procurement experience focused on complex IT sourcing, RFPs, and technology contract negotiations; experience managing $20M+ annual IT procurement portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of IT commercial models and contracts, including SaaS, cloud, software licensing, managed services, and professional services; familiarity with ERP and contract-management platforms and advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field—or equivalent education and experience. CPSM, CTPE, and NERC CIP knowledge are preferred.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead end-to-end RFP/RFQ processes for IT purchases, from requirements and vendor evaluations through negotiations, award recommendations, and contract execution.
• Partner with IT, Legal, Finance, Security, and business teams to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contract terms, assess vendor risk, and manage stakeholder priorities.
• Manage IT vendor and contract activity, support cost optimization and supplier performance, maintain accurate procurement records, and prepare reports for leadership.
