The City of Bellmead invites applications for an Information Technology (IT) Manager who will oversee the City’s IT and telecommunications systems, align operations with organizational goals, and lead strategic technology planning.

The successful candidate will bring a Bachelor’s in IT/CS or related field, at least seven years in IT with supervisory and PM experience, and may hold CompTIA Security+/Network+/A+.

Job Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Manager manages all aspects of the IT Department, including City-wide information technology systems, and telecommunications systems and activities. Evaluate the IT Department and its operations to ensure effective support for organizational objectives and efficient and effective implementation of initiatives. Lead and develop strategic technology plans and implementation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field; and other related coursework and training that demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning and practices in this field. A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience within the field of Information Technology, including two (2) years of supervision and project management. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may suffice for meeting the educational qualifications for this position.

Certifications and Licenses

Comptia Security+, Network+, and/or A+ Certification is preferred.
