Job summary

Alexander Technology Group is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead corporate IT and hardware operations, build and coach a small team, and own the roadmap, P&L, and day-to-day execution. This is a hybrid on-site role based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with responsibilities spanning deployment, inventory, vendor management, and vendor selection decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own corporate IT: laptop/endpoint deployment, endpoint management, and day-to-day support.
• Lead hardware operations: client device rollouts, inventory, vendor management, and deployment process.
• Build, coach, and set expectations for a growing team (target ~5 people).
• Own the IT roadmap, including MSP vs in-house decisions.
• Drive project management, status reporting, and proposals to leadership.
• Jump into hands-on work when bandwidth requires it.
• Prepare the function for practice IT support as needs expand.

Requirements

• Senior hands-on IT / hardware operations / endpoint or fleet background with experience building or scaling a small team
• Strong endpoint management, inventory, vendor management, and deployment operations; security experience a plus
• Proven project management and clear communication to executive leadership
• Comfortable owning a P&L and operating in a high-growth, ambiguous environment
