Job summary

Oklahoma City Convention Center is seeking a seasoned IT professional to oversee the comprehensive management of all network, telecommunications, and related technology systems. You will develop and implement security, disaster recovery, and infrastructure policies to ensure reliability and efficiency.

The role includes budgeting, vendor management, leading IT staff, supporting event technology needs, and collaborating with event management to meet client technology and billing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of network, computer, and telecommunications systems.
• Develop and implement technology upgrade, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance strategies to maximize system reliability and minimize downtime.
• Monitor emerging technologies and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate IT personnel, including full-time, part-time, and contract staff.
• Oversee help desk operations and ensure timely resolution of user support requests.
• Manage IT assets, inventories, maintenance agreements, vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement activities.
• Prepare budgets, capital improvement plans, purchase requests, reports, and related documentation.
• Develop bid specifications, service agreements, and performance standards for vendors and contractors.
• Collaborate with event management teams to support client technology and telecommunications needs, including pricing and billing processes.
• Establish, document, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and security best practices.
• Foster positive working relationships across departments and provide exceptional customer service.
• Attend departmental and organizational meetings and contribute to operational planning.
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
