Job description

The IT Leader is responsible for overseeing AdvaCare's day-to-day technology operations and serving as the company's primary internal IT resource. This hands-on leadership role is focused on maintaining a secure, reliable, and efficient technology environment while managing desktop and network support, coordinating third-party technology partners, and supporting business systems, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing business technology operations, leading IT initiatives, and partnering with external service providers to deliver technology solutions that support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Essential Functions
  • Manage the day-to-day operation, availability, and support of AdvaCare's technology environment
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Windows-based systems, user accounts, permissions, and related Microsoft technologies
  • Provide and coordinate desktop support, endpoint support, networking support, LAN administration, and troubleshooting for employees
  • Oversee hardware and software procurement, deployment, upgrades, inventory, and lifecycle management
  • Act as the primary liaison with outsourced IT service providers, cloud vendors, ERP partners, consultants, and other technology vendors
  • Monitor vendor performance, coordinate issue resolution, and ensure service expectations are met
  • Support the company's cloud-based ERP platform, accounting systems, and other business applications
  • Partner with leadership and consultants on technology projects, system implementations, data recovery, reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence initiatives
  • Maintain system documentation, operating procedures, security practices, access controls, and disaster recovery processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, user experience, data accessibility, and operational efficiency
  • Provide Tier II and Tier III technical support and serve as the escalation point for complex technology issues
  • Lead, prioritize, and support one direct report responsible for mobile device management, video surveillance, and electronic door access systems
  • Perform light scripting or programming to maintain or improve internal tools when appropriate
  • Perform other duties as required
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Assist with technology budgeting, purchasing decisions, and vendor contract review
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities related to devices, accounts, access, and security
  • Support technology-related audits, compliance efforts, and due diligence requestsEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical solutions aligned with business needs
  • Promote positive working relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and service providers
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Windows environments, networking, endpoint management, and desktop support
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions
  • Experience managing outsourced IT providers, cloud vendors, and technology partners
  • Understanding of IT security, access management, system documentation, backup, and disaster recovery practices
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technology requirements and recommendations
  • Strong project coordination, organization, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Exposure to reporting tools, dashboards, data mining, or business intelligence is a plus
Education & Experience
  • Three to five or more years of progressive information technology experience, including experience leading projects, vendors, or employees
  • Experience supporting a primarily cloud-based and outsourced IT environment
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows-based technologies is required
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP or other business applications is preferred
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred
