Concentra, Inc. is seeking an IT department Technical Lead to drive software development initiatives and provide strong technical leadership. You will mentor teams, define architectural direction, and ensure high-quality code and secure, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architects, DevOps, and product owners, with responsibilities spanning design, code reviews, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software development experience.
• Proven experience in .NET or Java development, SQL, and related technologies.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to development teams, setting high standards for software design, coding, testing, build, deployment, and operations.
• Define, design, and deliver technical improvements and capabilities based on technical debt identification, architectural direction, and business needs.
• Write high-quality, well-documented code.
• Mentor and coach junior developers to grow their skills.
• Oversee quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality, bug-free software.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and other technical teams to define and deliver solutions.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and to improve other team members.
• Assist with estimation of responsible technical area and applications.
• Assist in resolving complex technical challenges and provide guidance to team members.
• Mentor and coach junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills.
• Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize Java, .NET, PowerBuilder applications for maximum efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions into the business process.
• Creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and deployment guides.

Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
Major: Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering

• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Master's degree preferred

Job-Related Experience

• 8+ years software development experience.
• Proven experience in .NET or Java development, SQL, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in version control systems. (e.g.: Git)
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies.
