Job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Project Manager specializing in Information Delivery to oversee analytics projects under the Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO), Defense Health Agency (DHA). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data presentation software, healthcare analytics, project management, and communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences. This position requires excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills to ensure successful project execution and delivery for strategic accounts.

Responsibilities
  1. Organize business objectives and coordinate personnel to ensure project priorities are completed on time.
  2. Ensure resource allocation aligns with project scope and budget.
  3. Identify and resolve scope adjustments, communicating impacts on schedule and costs.
  4. Plan and coordinate all development phases.
  5. Coordinate cross-functional teams from design to delivery of ready-for-use projects.
  6. Provide timely updates to stakeholders and government POCs.
  7. Manage timelines, resources, and budgets to keep projects on track.
  8. Oversee onboarding and training of technical staff.
  9. Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders.
  10. Facilitate Scrum meetings, maintain requirements backlog, and ensure availability of backlog requirements for technical resources.
  11. Maintain and update project trackers and control systems.
  12. Perform risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and implement mitigation strategies.
  13. Supervise operational rollout, support processes, and updates to existing products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related field or 8 years of equivalent IT project management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data presentation software and related concepts.
  • 5+ years of experience in communicating complex concepts to lay audiences.
  • Preferred (not required):
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into analytic products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and additional software/hardware skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Additional Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting BI capabilities on government servers and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in BI platforms like Microsoft, SAS, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Knowledge of SAS OLAP cubes and AHRQ indicators.
  • Experience in semantic layer design and maintenance.
  • Certifications such as DASM or PMI-ACP.
  • Experience within the Defense Health Agency or government contracting.

Target salary range: $119,000 - $180,000
