Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC in Camas, WA is seeking a 10-week IT internship focused on building automated reports, templates, and standards. You will help develop and document software practices, create integrations, and support tooling for automation and security.

As part of the program, interns relocate to attend in person for 10 weeks, receive hands-on mentorship, and participate in project-based assignments and networking with firm leaders and peers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MIS systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools and CRM.
• Experience developing software applications, integrations, and automation tools.
• Programming knowledge (C#, .Net, SQL, DAX) and reporting tools like Power BI.
• Familiarity with automation and testing tools and cloud platforms such as Azure.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Build automated reports using various IT systems.
• Create templates, guidelines, and standards for work intake and execution.
• Develop, review, and edit documentation on software development practices and standards.
• Develop or modify common code, integration, and security tools.
• Capture and document solution requirements.
• Contribute to programming specifications, logic flow charts, and process diagrams.
• Test and debug work.
• Assist with infrastructure systems support.
• Participate in industry-leading training courses and on-the-job training.
• Collaborate with fellow interns through projects and competitions.
• Engage in professional development activities and networking with firm leaders and peers.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Students attending an accredited university, graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Knowledge of MIS systems such as Service Now, Jira, or similar tools, and CRM.
• Experience developing software applications, integrations, and automation tools.
• Ability to relocate and attend in person for 10 weeks at Fisher Investments in Camas, WA or Plano, TX.
• Additional qualifications may include knowledge of programming languages (C#, .Net, SQL, DAX), reporting tools like Power BI, automation and test data management tools (Test Complete Pro, NeoLoad, GenRocket), and cloud platform tools such as Azure.

Compensation & Benefits

• $20 per hour for 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.
• Eligible for a discretionary relocation stipend.

Training & Development

Interns receive hands-on training, project-based assignments, and dedicated mentorship to support development as IT professionals in financial services. The program includes regular professional development activities, engagement with firm leaders, and networking opportunities.

Career Progression

Interns develop competencies required for success in future information technology positions within the firm.
