Job summary

Blue Bridge People is seeking an IT Infrastructure Technician to ensure availability and functionality of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, VMware/Hyper-V, printers, phones, and cloud apps. You will work with the IT team to support operations across departments and assist in deployments and upgrades.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of network/system experience and proficiency with Windows Server, AD, Office 365, Cisco, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant network system experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware, Active Directory, Office 365, Cisco, and Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to multitask and complete assignments within agreed-upon time frames.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot end-user issues remotely.
• Ability to travel less than 10% of the time.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional teams, supporting colleagues and contributing actively to shared goals.
• Familiarity with SQL Server and Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support LANs, VPN, users, applications, internet, and intranet systems.
• Maintain system efficiency and performance, including network facilities, servers, workstations, printers, phones, VPN, email, intrusion detection systems, and all technology-related items.
• Maintain and monitor networks and systems to ensure security.
• Analyze and isolate issues.
• Set up new team members, identify user needs, and troubleshoot reported problems.
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
• Document and inventory all IT systems.
• Assist in implementing new operating systems, servers, hardware deployments, and upgrades, including new system migrations and existing system upgrades.
• Participate in disaster preparedness plan preparation and deployment.
• Monitor and maintain antivirus and security applications for networks and workstations.
• Research and prepare recommendations, solutions, and quotes for new technologies, equipment, suppliers, and products, and assist in deployment.
• Maintain an IT request tracking system that allows users to submit requests and receive communication on request status and completion.
• Provide timely communication to leadership regarding the status of tasks and IT items.

Job description

The Information Technology Infrastructure Technician will ensure the availability and functionality of all information technology systems, including hardware (servers, PCs, VMware / Hyper-V, printers/scanners, and conferencing), communication (phone system, internet, middleware), and applications (Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, and cloud-based apps).

In this role, the IT Infrastructure Technician will work closely with other IT team members and interact with all departments supporting various operational initiatives. This role requires a highly resourceful individual with emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and integrity. A composed demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow through are a must.
