A confidential infrastructure organization is seeking an Information Governance Analyst to support records management, SharePoint content administration, document migration, and information-lifecycle initiatives.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable moving between detailed records work, electronic content management, user support, and cross-functional project coordination. You will help ensure information is organised, searchable, accessible, accurately classified, and managed in line with retention and compliance requirements.
What you will do
- Support records and information-governance activities across physical and electronic records.
- Organise and maintain SharePoint document libraries, metadata, permissions, content lifecycle activities, and cleanup efforts.
- Assist with document migration, digitisation, shared-drive cleanup, validation, and digital transformation projects.
- Research, triage, resolve, or escalat SharePoint and records‑management requests from internal stakeholders.
- Apply retention requirements, support audits, maintain accurate documentation, and identify process improvements.
- Collaborate with business users and teams across IT, Legal, Compliance, and Cybersecurity.
Requirements
- At least two years of professional experience in records management, information governance, document management/control, office support with records responsibility, or a related environment.
- Hands‑on SharePoint experience, including document libraries, content organization, metadata, permissions, lifecycle activities, or user support.
- Strong Microsoft 365 proficiency and the ability to learn new systems and governance tools quickly.
- High attention to detail, sound analytical judgement, and confidence managing multiple priorities.
- Clear communication and a responsive, customer‑service mindset.
- Helpful experience includes retention schedules, offsite storage, legal holds, records disposition, document migration, OCR/digitisation, Power Platform, or certifications such as CIP, CRM, or IGP.
