We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to support and enhance a modern technology environment serving a distributed workforce. This role is responsible for the administration, security, automation, and day-to-day operation of core IT systems, with a strong focus on Google Workspace, identity management, endpoint security, and cloud-based services.
The ideal candidate combines traditional systems administration expertise with a passion for automation and AI-assisted workflows. You'll play a key role in maintaining secure, reliable IT operations while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through scripting, integrations, and modern tooling.
Key Responsibilities
Google Workspace Administration
- Manage Google Workspace environments, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Vault, Groups, and Admin Console.
- Administer onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, and role-based access management.
- Configure and maintain email routing, archiving, retention policies, and security controls.
- Manage mobile device administration and compliance policies.
Identity & Access Management
- Administer SSO and identity platforms such as Okta.
- Configure and maintain MFA policies.
- Automate user provisioning and deprovisioning across integrated systems.
- Ensure compliance with access control and security standards.
Infrastructure & Security
- Manage DNS records, domain authentication, and email security technologies.
- Support VPN services and secure remote access solutions.
- Implement and maintain endpoint security solutions across Windows and macOS environments.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts, audit findings, and compliance requirements.
Automation & AI-Assisted Operations
- Develop scripts and internal tools to automate routine IT operations.
- Utilize AI-powered tools for troubleshooting, scripting, documentation, and process optimization.
- Improve efficiency through automation of user management, reporting, compliance audits, and administrative tasks.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and automation opportunities.
Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity
- Manage backup strategies for cloud-based systems and collaboration platforms.
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing efforts.
- Ensure data integrity, redundancy, and recoverability across critical systems.
End User & Platform Support
- Provide advanced technical support for onsite and remote employees.
- Troubleshoot operating systems, networking, collaboration tools, and identity platforms.
- Support third-party business applications and integrations.
- Document procedures, configurations, and support processes.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor platform health, system activity, and security posture.
- Review audit logs, compliance reports, and operational metrics.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively address issues.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in IT Support, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with identity and access management solutions, including SSO and MFA.
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
- Knowledge of DNS management, email security, and remote access technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with endpoint security and device management solutions.
- Proficiency with one or more scripting languages:

- Experience supporting both onsite and remote users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications.
- Experience with Okta, CrowdStrike, JumpCloud, Google Vault, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience integrating and managing third-party SaaS applications.
