Job description

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Technology / Assurance Specialist to join our team in the Los Angeles, CA area.

The primary function of the Information Technology / Assurance Specialist is to work with Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting SMC Directorates and/or AFSPC Operational Units. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  1. Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer system(s).
  2. Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required. Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance. Prepare system for operational use and support operational tests.
  3. Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packages. Notify customer when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certification. Perform AIS self-inspections, provide security coordination and review of all system test plans. Identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
  4. Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices. Perform VTC System Administration, Scheduling, & Configuration.
  5. Provide guest networks Client Support. Perform Account Creations, changes, & deletions. Provide Help Desk & troubleshooting. Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades and modifications. Provide Personal-Issue Laptop Support.
  6. Perform Media Control & Accountability.
  7. Perform COMSEC account/equipment management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; 4 additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  2. 8+ years total related experience.
  3. 3+ years of relevant SCI or SAP experience.
  4. Must have a CompTIA Security + certificate.
  5. Must complete training on Joint Security Implementation Guidance (JSIG), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) within 6 months of hire date (if supported organization requires development of AIS accreditation packages).
  6. Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies to include communication security (COMSEC) integration.
  7. Working knowledge of JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN 6/3, DCID/JAFAN 6/9, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to C&A for Legacy systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience with PL3 & PL4 cross domain solutions desired.
Clearance Requirements:
  1. Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. Willingness to sit for a polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  2. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  3. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  4. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
