Job summary

The New York Attorney General's Office seeks an Information Technology Architect 1 to lead the Cloud Operations team in Latham, NY. You will guide cloud implementations across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, and AWS, designing architectures and overseeing migrations to public clouds.

With 6+ years in IT and substantial cloud experience, you will ensure reliable, secure cloud infrastructure and supervise the cloud operations team for ongoing success.

Qualifications

• Six years of information technology experience, four in network architecture and/or cloud computing.
• 4+ years technical knowledge with cloud networking, storage, backups, and services.
• 3+ years experience with large-scale cloud and hybrid architecture including migrations.
• 3+ years architecting cloud infrastructure and PaaS services (firewalls, VMs, storage accounts, backup/recovery, etc.).
• 3+ years integrating Azure or OCI with other cloud systems.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code.

The Information Technology Architect 1 serves as Cloud Operations Lead for the New York Attorney General's Office, overseeing the Cloud Operations team and guiding the agency's cloud implementations across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services. The role involves designing cloud architectures, leading migrations to public cloud environments, ensuring reliability and security of cloud infrastructure, and performing supervisory duties over the cloud operations team. This full-time permanent position is based in Latham, NY and reports to the Operations Manager.
