Desktop Support Specialist I-School of Nursing-Mount Sinai 776 Avenue of the Americas-Full Time, Days

The Desktop Support Specialist I provide consultation to business area management and staff at the highest level for all aspects of end user computing and network-based PC/workstation systems software and hardware.


Responsibilities
  • Provides consultation to business area management and staff at the highest technical level for all aspects of end user computing applications and network-based PC/workstation software and hardware, including troubleshooting, repairs, network configurations, installations and upgrades.
  • Manage, support, and troubleshoot network printers, scanners.
  • Manage, support and troubleshoot mobile devices such as WOWs, laptops, macs, tablets and smart phones.
  • Move, add and change workstations throughout Mount Sinai Western Queens locations and off campus.
  • Provide support for Mount Sinai Western Queens users at remote sites outside the campus which might require local travel.
  • Participates in the evaluation of new end user computing packages, including remote connectivity products, and equipment, implements and tests prototypes, applies installation quality assurance tests and ensures consistency with standards.
  • Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible problems and concerns and perform related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows MSCE.
  • Two years experience in programming and analysis and in end user computing and network-based PC/workstation applications, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $27.39 - $53.34 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
