Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a Department of Defense contractor in the United States, seeks a cybersecurity professional to maintain and enhance the security posture of information systems and networks. You will act as a primary ISSM advisor, ensure RMF and ATO/ATC readiness, and support PMOs with deployment planning and risk mitigation.

The role requires TS clearance with SCI eligibility, IAM Level II or higher, and strong communication with executives and IPT leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive information security knowledge and hands-on experience in cybersecurity controls.
• Strong understanding of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and related DoD directives.
• Active DoD clearance with TS to SCI eligibility and IAM Level II baseline or better.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security posture for IS and networks per IA SOPs.
• Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IS resources.
• Advise ISSMs, PSOs, and DOAs on security matters.
• Act as alternate ISSM to support readiness.
• Develop and maintain RMF artifacts to support ATO/ATC.
• Support PMOs with site surveys and deployment planning.
• Conduct IS lifecycle management from requirements to disposal.
• Prepare cybersecurity assessments and remediation plans.
• Create and maintain security documentation and audit trails.
• Lead policy development to reinforce access controls.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver secure, compliant projects.
• Document changes for CCB and system configurations.
• Complete required security training for access eligibility.
