Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Join to apply for the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) role at Dark Wolf Solutions.

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the USG in ensuring industrial information systems comply with security regulations and policies, and have safeguards to protect classified data. The ISSO will inspect systems nationwide and assist with assessment and accreditation (A&A), using policies including ICD 503, ICD 705, SEAD 4, NISPOM, and its supplement. This role requires a Top Secret security clearance and is based in Ogden, UT.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with A&A process, ICD 503, and NIST RMF
• 2+ years of experience writing technical reports related to A&A, SSP, security policies, or guidance
• 2+ years of knowledge in network architecture, LAN configuration, and securing OS
• 5+ years of experience with Windows Server, Windows 7/8/10, MS Office, Mac OS, Unix/Linux, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox)
• Experience with vulnerability and compliance assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, SCAP, App Detective)
• At least one cybersecurity certification from the listed options (e.g., CISSP, Security+ CE)
• Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical, including report writing and briefing preparation
• Willingness to travel domestically (20-40%)
• HS Diploma; US Citizenship; active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Additional cybersecurity certifications or experience, including guidance to system administrators and A&A processes
