Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) VMOD Lead

CACI is seeking an experienced and strategic Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) VMOD Lead to lead cybersecurity efforts supporting the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP). This role aligns with the DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Framework for Information Systems Security Manager - ISSM (ID: 722) at the Advanced level. The successful candidate will oversee the cybersecurity posture of designated programs, systems, or enclaves, managing the RMF process, ensuring compliance via eMASS, and leading vulnerability management within the VMOD team, which focuses on threat intelligence and vulnerability mitigation for USSTRATCOM. The role may require rotating shift work to support mission or incident response needs.

This position offers a chance to lead vital cybersecurity programs, influence threat defense strategies, and manage risk for national security systems within a supportive organization.

Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the VMOD team and cybersecurity programs, including:

  • Cybersecurity Program Management: Develop and oversee cybersecurity plans, policies, SOPs, and advise senior management on risk and resources.
  • RMF & Compliance: Manage the RMF lifecycle, assessments, ATOs, and continuous monitoring in eMASS, ensuring adherence to DoD/NIST standards.
  • Vulnerability & Threat Management: Oversee vulnerability management, monitor threat data, interpret non-compliance, and supervise mitigation efforts.
  • Incident Response: Supervise incident response activities, ensure proper reporting, and manage corrective actions.
  • Security Architecture: Understand and evaluate network security and system engineering principles, integrating security requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate security value, collaborate on risk and improvements, and promote security awareness.
  • Training & Awareness: Oversee security training programs for assigned areas.
  • Reporting: Collect and maintain cybersecurity data, prepare reports on security status, incidents, and trends.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, potentially providing guidance or supervision to team members.

Qualifications:

Certifications (must possess one):

  • ISC² CGRC/CAP
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • ISC² CCSP
  • CompTIA Cloud+ CE
  • ISC² SSCP
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

Considered Certifications: ISC² CISSP

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field is required.
  • At least 10 years of cybersecurity experience, with leadership and program management expertise preferred.
  • Proven experience as an ISSM or similar role in DoD or Federal environments is highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of RMF, NIST standards, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Experience with eMASS or similar GRC tools.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and network security architecture.
  • Knowledge of current cyber threats and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts if required.
  • Active or eligible Top Secret w/ SCI clearance.
