Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

Overview

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) with an emphasis on networking. The ISSE will review and assess Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation for classified information systems, including System Security Plans, Security Control Traceability Matrices, and more. Responsibilities include evaluating system compliance, advising on security architecture, and contributing to security artifacts.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with monitoring and analyzing security data from sources like Splunk, ELA, ePO, and others to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of network security, application security, and operating systems.
• Experience with system CONOP analysis, network equipment configuration, vulnerability assessment tools, and risk mitigation.
• Supporting development of cybersecurity plans and procedures.
• Ability to analyze vulnerabilities, respond to cyber events, and utilize security tools.
• Expertise in networking protocols, cloud design, and advanced security.
• At least one relevant cybersecurity certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• US Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Desired Qualifications

• Additional cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience guiding system administrators and authoring security documentation.
• Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
• Previous SAP access experience.
