Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Information Assurance professional to support DoD programs in Colorado. You will design and validate security controls, align with Zero Trust and RMF, and author assessment and authorization artifacts. Collaboration with the program ISSO and government stakeholders is essential.

The role requires top-level clearance and DoD 8570/8140-aligned certifications, with hands-on IA experience across multiple domains and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support engineering solution design and development per U.S. government IA standards.
• Implement Zero Trust Architecture principles.
• Enforce IAM policies across systems and services.

• Oversee test case development and validation of controls.
• Create/Audit A&A documentation, templates, and artifacts.
• Collaborate with ISSO and stakeholders on cyber hygiene, remediations.

Job description

• Support engineering solution design and development and adherence to applicable U.S. Government Information Assurance standards and programs
• Implement Zero Trust Architecture principles and capabilities
• Enforce Identity Credential and Access Management policies across information systems, services, and solutions
• Research, analyze, and recommend security controls using the Risk Management Framework
• Oversee development of test cases, scenarios, and scripts validating security controls
• Develop Assessment and Authorization documentation procedures, templates, and artifacts
• Oversee development and integration cybersecurity testing initiatives and evidence artifacts
• Collaborate with program ISSO and government stakeholders on cyber hygiene, vulnerabilities, actions, and remediations
• Provide expertise on cross-discipline Information Assurance controls and services
• Provide engineering services supporting operations transition
• Aid in creating required documentation, reports, and data according to contract requirements

Requirements

• Must hold a current Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start
• DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+)
• HS and 12+ years of experience, an AA and 10+ years of experience, BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, MS/MA and 6+ years of experience, or PhD and 4+ years of experience
• Certification and two years of hands‑on technical experience demonstrating progressively increasing responsibility for information assurance
• Experience in ICD 503 certification and accreditation
• Familiarization with NIST SP 800-37 Revision 1, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53 Revisions 3 and 4, NIST SP 800-39, and NIST SP 800-30
• Maintain required technical and security training in accordance with DoD Instruction 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD Directive 8570.01-M
• Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies
