Job summary

V2X seeks an Information Systems Security Analyst (ACL) to support cybersecurity operations at Ascension Auxiliary Air Field. This on-site role focuses on implementing and improving DoD information system security policies, conducting vulnerability assessments, continuous monitoring, and aiding certification processes.

The position requires coordination with system owners to ensure secure configuration and accreditation.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related area required or 3 years of cybersecurity experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity/InfoSec experience in DoD or government environments preferred.
• Experience with RMF authorization, vulnerability assessments, continuous monitoring, risk analysis, and interfacing with system owners.

Responsibilities

• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information system security policies and methodologies.
• Perform vulnerability assessments using ACAS, STIG, and SCAP tools with automated benchmarks.
• Implement OS and network device security configurations per DISA STIGs and APL guidance.
• Conduct continuous monitoring, security audits, and risk analyses; develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare certification letters and MoA with system owners for interfaces and networking.

We are seeking an Information Systems Security Analyst (ACL) to support cybersecurity operations at Ascension Auxiliary Air Field (AAAF). This position is fully on-site due to the classified nature of the systems supported. The Analyst is responsible for implementing, enforcing, and continuously improving cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures for Department of Defense (DoD) information systems. Key duties include conducting vulnerability assessments using ACAS, STIGs, and SCAP tools; performing continuous monitoring and risk analysis; and supporting system accreditation and certification processes. The role involves direct coordination with system owners and stakeholders to ensure secure implementation of operating systems and network devices, using approved tools and technologies listed under NIAP and DISA APL. This is an unaccompanied position with company-provided housing on Ascension Island.

Responsibilities

• Proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information system security policies, standards and methodologies.
• Performing vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks.
• Implementing operating systems and network devices security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides.
• Performing security control continuous monitoring, security audits, risk analysis and developing mitigation strategies for DoD information systems.
• Identifying Common Criteria and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) certified technologies and the DISA Approved Products List (APL).
• Preparing certification letters and Memoranda of Agreement (MoA) with system owners for interface and networking implementation

Certifications

Experience

• 3 years of experience as an ISSO/Cybersecurity professional may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• 3 years Cybersecurity/Information Systems Security
• 3 years Performing security control continuous monitoring, security audits, risk analysis and developing mitigation strategies for DoD information systems.
• 3 years Authorizing or accrediting systems utilizing the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
