Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an IS Operations Consultant to deliver strategic consulting and planning with wide influence across technology, change management, and process improvement. You will develop and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and patient care by integrating business and clinical needs.

• Provides outcome help to administration, business/clinical areas, department directors, and managers for strategic/operational conclusions.
• Develops change management plans and schedules aligned with initiatives.
• Facilitates strategic planning and design meetings; identifies business and technical strategies.
• Recommends technical and business process changes for greater efficiencies and benefits.
• Participates in development and implementation of standard processes for change and testing.
• Ensures project quality assurance activities, including requirements, testing, and defect tracking.
• Recommends budget items necessary to support changes.

Job Summary

The IS Operations Consultant provides strategic consulting and planning services with wide influence and impact. Utilizes expertise in technology, change management, project management, technical quality management, and process improvement. Develops and implements strategic business or technical solutions.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Applies detailed testing to assess current systems, practices, and procedures. Compares them to industry best practices. Develops strategic recommendations to address opportunities. Results in cost-effective technical or business solutions that meet requirements.
• Provides outcome help to administration, business/clinical areas, department directors, and managers to help strategic and operational business or technology conclusions.
• Develops change management plans, and schedules in line with organizational strategic initiatives
• Facilitates strategic planning and design meetings. Helps identify business and technical strategies. Regulates system and solution needs for those strategies.
• Recommends technical and business processes changes that will allow greater efficiencies with significant benefit to the Organization.
• Participates in the development and implementation of standard processes and activities related to change, operational improvement, integrated and end-to-end testing.
• Ensures project quality assurance needs which could include: requirements gathering/assessment, environmental strategy, test plan/script development, and defect tracking.
• Recommends budget items necessary to help changes.
