Job summary

Chenega MIOS seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to oversee security posture, RMF A&A activities, and compliance across networks in Arlington, VA. The role combines hands-on security operations with coordination among CISO, AO, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, IAT II certification, and 5+ years of relevant experience. Initial on-site training is required, followed by limited telework options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree with 2+ years relevant experience acceptable.
• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years relevant experience acceptable.
• 5+ years’ relevant experience required.
• IAT Level II Certification.
• DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned network(s) and ensure compliance with STIGs and IAVM.
• On-site five days/week during initial training; telework allowed one day/week thereafter.
• Ensure stakeholders follow FISMA to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Lead RMF A&A efforts and coordinate with ISSM, ISO, AO, and engineering staff.
• Provide POAM support and coordinate remediation of deficiencies and vulnerabilities.
• Perform continuous monitoring reviews (ConMon) using Splunk and manual checks as needed.
• Assist IR activities by validating sanitation procedures before CART Case closure.
• Coordinate with Security Tools Team to identify critical/high vulnerabilities and report posture at weekly meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

SecuriGence is seeking a talented Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to help contribute to our success. Come help us solve problems with Innovation Through Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for assigned network(s) by working with the operations staff to ensure compliance with STIGs and IAVM.
• This role requires being on-site five days a week during the initial training period of approximately two months. Telework is then allowed one day per week.
• Ensuring that Stakeholders adhere to Federal Information Assurance policies and procedures to acquire and maintain an Information System's Authority to Operate (ATO) under the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) of 2002.
• Lead RMF A&A efforts, including activities within the A&A cycle and outside of the ISSO functions, work directly with ISSM, ISO, and AO, work with engineering and operations support staff to secure systems and ensure compliance, and provide oversight for existing and new POAMs.
• Provided POAM support by advising CISO/AO of changes and assisting in the coordination of efforts to remediate deficiencies and vulnerabilities.
• Responsible for performing ConMon reviews for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks. (Primarily completed through Splunk. A small number of manual/administrative checks.
• Assist with IR activities by verifying sanitation procedures are followed prior to submitting the CART Case to the CISO for closure.
• Work with the Security Tools Team to identify Critical / High vulnerabilities for remediation and report network security posture at weekly CISO/AO meeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR
• Associate’s degree with 2+ years relevant experience OR
• High school diploma or GED equivalent with 4+ years relevant experience.
• 5+ years’ relevant experience.
• IAT Level II Certification
• DoD Top Secret Clearance is required with eligibility to obtain SCI
