Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at the time of hire. Applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Information Systems Security Officer, Colorado Springs

Role and Position Objectives:

As an Information Systems Security Officer, you will be part of a team providing cybersecurity support services to various mission partners in a cloud-based environment. This role leverages your cybersecurity knowledge and skills including Risk Management Framework (RMF), continuous monitoring, and hands-on cybersecurity tools.

Preferred skills and experiences include:

• System auditing and vulnerability management using tools like ACAS, Splunk, SCC
• Development of mitigation strategies for system security threats and risks
• Familiarity with the RMF process leading to a system’s Authority to Operate (ATO)
• Conducting system security assessments for authorization
• Development and updating of security assessment results and Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) reports

What sets you apart:

• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity objectives such as RMF, STIGs, JSIG, and other security standards
• Ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions affecting cybersecurity design and implementation
• Self-starter capable of working independently or in a team with minimal supervision
• Experience developing artifacts for the system’s Body of Evidence for A&A packages
• Prior responsibility over products or processes
• Experience with Linux operating systems

Workplace Options:

This position requires the successful candidate to be on-site 3-4 days per week.

Salary Range: USD $121,363.00 - USD $134,638.00 per year, based on experience and location. The posting remains open until filled.
