Overview: FTI is looking for an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team. This ISSE position requires at least a DoD Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) and is located in Colorado Springs, CO. The ISSE will support the development, testing, and deployment under U.S. Space Force (USSF). They will collaborate with a diverse program team and must be able to communicate effectively in obtaining and synthesizing requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Space/Ground Systems across the Department of Defense (DoD) Space domain.
Responsibilities: The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) will work on security engineering and/or integration of security products. This is a fast-paced and highly challenging position where you will be a member of a team. The ISSE is responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for the assigned IT. This includes the following activities related to maintaining situational awareness and initiating actions to improve or restore cybersecurity posture:
Education/Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility). Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field. 10+ years' planning, designing, developing, integrating, testing and/or deploying secure information technology. Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, Mercurial, Perforce). Ability to secure containerized environments effectively. Experience with Linux. Experience working with DoD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) space system acquisition programs. Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD / IC cybersecurity requirements, policies and best practices. Experience with IT Security including requirements, architecture and design. Experience with development and automated testing.
For this role, the annual compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($106K– $177K). Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
