Booz Allen is seeking an Information System Security Controls Assessor to help national security clients transform complex cyber risks into actionable mitigation plans. You will assess threats, translate directives into practical controls, and guide clients through plan-of-action developments with presentations and milestones.

With 6+ years in IT/cyber and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, you will work on DoD/IC programs.

Information System Security Controls Assessor

The answer is an information security risk specialist like you who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action. As an Information System Security Controls Assessor our team, you’ll use your experience to work with national security and intelligence community clients to discover their cyber risks, understand policies, and develop mitigation plans. You’ll review technical and environmental details to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. You’ll work with your client to translate security concepts, directives, and controls into action so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical systems. You Have:

• 6+ years of experience with IT and cybersecurity
• Experience as a Security Control Assessor, ISSO, ISSE, or ISSM
• Experience performing assessment and authorization activities for Intelligence Community or DoD customers
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with control implementation, ICD 503, CNSS, and NIST requirements, processes, and controls
• Experience with cyber defense and vulnerability assessment tools
• Experience with operating systems, platforms, and technologies, including Windows, Linux, cloud, virtualization, or wireless
• Experience using Super Intelligence (SI) tools in professional workflow
• Knowledge of customer IT systems, requirements, and processes for information assurance, assessment, and authorization activities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree
• Advanced Cybersecurity Certification, including Security+, GSEC, or CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
