Job summary

Hexcel Corporation in Amesbury, MA is seeking an Information System Security Officer to support the site's IT infrastructure, ensure security and compliance, and provide hands-on technical tasks and user support.

You will develop security policies, manage vulnerability assessments, coordinate audits, and collaborate with auditors, IT teams, and management to maintain IA certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain & maintain Security+/SSCP/CISSP within 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and report writing.
• Experience with risk management, incident response, and security authorization packages.
• Strong understanding of information security principles and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deploy, and upgrade hardware and software in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Lead and expand the industrial security program with policies and procedures.
• Manage daily security operations including monitoring and incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments and support RMF/ CMMC activities.
• Maintain security documentation (SSPs, RARs, POA&Ms, SCTMs) and inventories.
• Coordinate internal audits and implement corrective actions.
• Create end-user documentation and provide staff training on security practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams, auditors, and management to ensure continuous improvement.
