Job summary

Richwood Bank is seeking an Information Security Officer to lead the bank’s information security program, protect customer and employee data, and align security with business objectives.

You will oversee security operations, risk assessments, policy development, incident response, and third‑party risk management, working with IT, Compliance, Legal and executives to prioritize risk and communicate in business terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, information technology, computer science or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive information security or IT risk experience.
• Experience coordinating security initiatives across teams and managing external security providers or comparable service relationships.
• Working knowledge of security risk assessments, vulnerability management, identity and access controls, endpoint protection, network security and incident response.
• Ability to develop practical policies, interpret assessment findings, prioritize remediation and maintain clear documentation.
• Strong judgment, organizational skills and the ability to explain security risks and recommendations to business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk-based information security program aligned with bank objectives.
• Maintain security architecture, standards and control baselines; integrate security into technology projects.
• Create and maintain information security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures; manage approvals and reviews.
• Lead information security risk assessments and maintain a risk register with remediation plans.
• Develop and maintain the security awareness program and onboarding training.
• Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery planning with IT leadership.
• Provide clear reporting to senior management and the board on security risks and remediation progress.
• Recommend security priorities, staffing and budget needs with risk-based justifications.
• Oversee security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and third-party risk.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk Management, Legal and vendors to ensure audit readiness and regulatory alignment.
