Impulse Space in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking an Information Security Intern for Summer 2027. The 12-week program provides hands-on exposure to security monitoring, policy implementation, vulnerability management, and compliance in a regulated aerospace environment.
You will work with experienced engineers and analysts on projects involving security controls, SIEM/EDR, NIST/CMMC frameworks, and documentation of procedures. On-site internship with May/June start through August/September 2027.

As an Information Security Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in the daily operations of a security program supporting a highly regulated, mission‑critical environment. You will work alongside experienced security engineers and analysts on real projects involving security monitoring, policy implementation, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives.
This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field to gain meaningful experience in a security program that supports aerospace and defense operations.

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
In addition to base salary, for full‑time hires, you may also be eligible for long‑term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
