Job summary

Medpace is seeking an Intern to join its Information Security Department in Cincinnati. You will monitor security alerts (SIEM/EDR), investigate incidents, and assist in improving security processes.

The role offers mentorship and hands-on exposure to daily SOC operations within a collaborative team. The internship emphasizes practical learning in security operations, incident response, and threat detection, with opportunities to contribute to enterprise security initiatives and policy

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment with mentorship and guided learning.
  • Strong interest in Security Operations, incident response, or threat detection.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity/IT concepts including network traffic, operating systems, authentication/access control, phishing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
  • Clear written communication skills for documenting investigations and findings; and
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
