Job summary

Amyx, Inc. is seeking several Information Systems Security Engineers (ISSE) to support TRANSCOM SISO contract at Scott Air Force Base, IL.

The ISSE will assess risks, provide RMF guidance, and assist in developing and administering security programs for government approval. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments per NIST guidelines, maintaining documentation, and delivering security deliverables.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Secret security clearance.
DoD 8570 IAT-II Certification.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DISA STIG Viewer, Nessus.
Experience in certification and accreditation of information systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with senior DoD and non-DoD officials.
Able to communicate effectively with senior leaders and customers.

Responsibilities

Conduct risk assessments to determine risk posed by new systems or capabilities in USTRANSCOM environment.
Obtain supporting data from DoD/Federal organizations, vendors, or internet research to support RMF requirements.
Conduct risk assessments per NIST SP 800-30 and NIST SP 800-160 Vol I/II and security best practices.
Maintain current documentation on ISSE processes and deliverables.
Implement security measures per ICDs, NISP, NIST and govt regulations.
Conduct ongoing vulnerability testing to verify security controls.
Interact with internal/external customers or government security officials on security matters.
Communicate accurate information effectively.
