Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a CipherTrust Security Engineer in Columbus, OH, a contract (12+ months) role with hybrid onsite work (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). The engineer will optimize security architecture, implement cryptographic protections, and work across Linux and Windows environments.

The ideal candidate has strong information security engineering experience, CipherTrust tooling, and scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible). This position is W-2 only.

Qualifications

• Hands-on information security engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated by work experience, training, or education.
• Experience with Thales CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption (CTE).
• Scripting/automation experience using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, VBScript, or JavaScript.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a CipherTrust Security Engineer,

Position type: Contract (12+ months)

Location: Columbus, OH

Hybrid Onsite (3 days onsite, 2 days remote in a week)

As a CipherTrust Security Engineer, you will:

• Have hands‑on security engineer with deep expertise in cryptographic protocols, HSMs, and modern data protection technologies, who thrives in complex, large‑scale environments.
• Work across Linux, Windows, and automation frameworks to harden systems, optimize performance, and drive secure architecture forward—while partnering with engineering and operations teams to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
• Passionate about encryption, key management, and solving sophisticated security challenges in a fast‑paced enterprise setting, this is a role where your expertise will directly shape the organization’s security posture.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
• Experience with Thales CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption (CTE).
• Intermediate to advanced level experience with scripting/automation using tools such as: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, VBScript, or JavaScript, UI path, etc.
• Unix/Linux/Windows Systems Administration experience with in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting, OS hardening and OS tuning.
• Experience with encryption or tokenization technologies.
• Experience performing builds, administration and/or support of hardware security modules or security appliance devices.
• Advanced Knowledge of Cryptographic protocols & algorithms.
• Knowledge and understanding of Cryptographic Technologies and Key Management

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

Pay Range: Between $69 - $74 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
