Job DescriptionA growing professional services organization is seeking an Information Security Analyst to help safeguard enterprise systems, infrastructure, and data across the organization. This role serves as a technical security resource responsible for supporting and strengthening cybersecurity operations while maintaining a secure and reliable technology environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in information security, network security, and systems administration. You will work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to identify risks, implement security improvements, maintain compliance standards, and respond to evolving security threats. Required Skills & Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience working as an Information Security Analyst or in a related IT security role
- 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise firewalls, routers, and switches
- Strong understanding of network security principles and cybersecurity best practices
- Experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience providing technical support to end users and business stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls or similar firewall platforms
- Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies
- Understanding of Zero Trust security architectures
- Experience supporting VMware environments
- Familiarity with Veeam backup solutions
- Experience maintaining compliance with security frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, or SOC 2
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Security+, Network+, CCNA, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications
What You Will Be DoingDaily Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, cloud security solutions, and content filtering platforms
- Monitor infrastructure and security controls to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
- Identify, investigate, and remediate vulnerabilities and security risks
- Implement and maintain security enhancements across enterprise systems
- Conduct routine security assessments and infrastructure reviews
- Support compliance initiatives and security audits
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend security improvements
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 security administration
- Review and assess the security posture of third-party applications and vendors
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to develop and maintain security policies and procedures
- Provide security-focused helpdesk support to local and remote users
- Deliver security awareness training and guidance to end users
- Monitor server, network, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments
- Maintain security documentation, procedures, and operational standards
- Ensure systems remain current with security updates and patches
