Booz Allen Hamilton in the United States is seeking a senior Cybersecurity Policy Specialist to develop strategic cyber policies for DoD-level programs. You will review client cyber policies, assess coverage and risks, and help create a strategic cyber roadmap to protect critical infrastructure.

You will collaborate with executives and engineers, ensure alignment with regulations and standards, and communicate complex risk to stakeholders while supporting secure IT operations and decision making.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience with federal government services or advising.
  • Experience using AI tools with collaboration platforms like Teams/SharePoint.
  • Experience drafting executive-level documents and briefing decks.
  • Experience planning and facilitating working groups or conferences.

As a cyber strategic planning and policy development specialist on our team, you’ll help review your client’s current cyber policies , the coverage of those policies , and areas of risks. You’ll evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards. As you guide your client through understanding acceptable risk and availability, you’ll help develop a strategic cyber roadmap. You’ll work with the client to help them operate securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment. You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including evaluating cybersecurity risk assessments or performing supply chain risk management analysis
  • Experience in services for the federal government or federal advising within a professional environment
  • Experience using AI tools along collaboration and knowledge management products such as Micro sof t Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Excel, and Access
  • Experience drafting, editing, and collaborating on executive or senior-level correspondence, information papers, and briefing decks to support decision-making
  • Experience planning and facilitating meetings such as working groups or conferences, and asso cia ted pre- and post-meeting activities
  • Knowledge of the DoD cybersecurity program
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting DoD-level organizations, including Action Officer duties, coordination, and staffing processes or tools
  • Knowledge of NIST 800 series publications and FISMA
  • Knowledge of DoD issuances such as DoDI and DoDD, or issuances such as DoWI and DoWD, and Joint Publications
  • Knowledge of DoD IT, cybersecurity, Supply Chain Risk Management ( SCRM ) , and Cyber-SCRM, and information and communications technology SCRM policy
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives where goals and para met ers may evolve over time
  • Ability to brief and collaborate with various stakeholders, including from junior to executive or senior leadership
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
